The year 2024 is poised to be an excellent one for anime enthusiasts, featuring the debut of several highly anticipated anime series. Here is a list of the top 5 most eagerly awaited anime!

1. Solo Leveling (Release on January 6, 2024)

Solo Leveling (original title: Na honjaman Level-up) revolves around a world where gates connect to the "dungeons." Dungeons are infinite spaces inhabited by vicious orcs, cunning fairies, and thousands of other monster species always ready to annihilate humanity. To protect the world, many individuals with magical abilities rise as hunters to combat the creatures known as "monsters." The main storyline in Solo Leveling primarily follows Sung Jin-woo, a low-level hunter struggling to survive. One day, on the brink of death, Sung Jin-woo unexpectedly connects with an entity called the "system." The system helps him level up his strength, uncover the secrets of dungeons, and explore the origin of magic in the world. Solo Leveling originally gained fame as a web novel in South Korea. After being adapted into a manga, the work became a sensation, sweeping through the Korean webtoon community and reaching international audiences. Solo Leveling was acquired for adaptation by A-1 Pictures, a renowned Japanese anime production company. Initially slated for a winter 2023 release, after a few delays, the production company has finalized the premiere date for the audience on January 6, 2024.

2. The Witch and the Beast (Release on January 12, 2024)

If "Beauty and the Beast" is a fairy tale overly familiar with the audience, then "The Witch and the Beast" by author Satake Kousuke promises a unique and fresh storyline. The story revolves around a girl with beastly features named Guideau and a mysterious man always carrying a coffin, Asaph. They embark on a journey together in pursuit of a witch praised as a hero. "The Witch and the Beast" is beloved for its fantasy setting with mystical and dark undertones. Notably, the contrasting personalities of the two characters, Guideau and Asaph, add intrigue to the narrative. While Guideau is a spirited and rebellious girl, Asaph exudes a cold, calm demeanor, always ready to protect his companion. "The Witch and the Beast" is scheduled to premiere on January 12, 2024.

3. Mashle: Muscles and Magic (Season 2) (Release on January 6, 2024)

Mashle: Muscles and Magic is set in a fantasy world where an individual's position in society is determined by the strength and magical skills they possess. The protagonist, Mash Burnedead, is a teenager incapable of using magic. However, to ensure peace for his family, he joins the prestigious Easton Magic Academy and resolves to attain the title of top student in this school. Without relying on magic, he directly utilizes "physical strength" in muscle-bound confrontations to defeat every opponent, asserting his position. The anime adaptation of Mashle: Muscles and Magic is based on the popular manga of the same name by author Hajime Kōmoto, with A-1 Pictures securing the production rights. Mashle: Muscles and Magic exudes a vibrant, entertaining atmosphere through the protagonist's "unimpressed" moments and the camaraderie within his group. This work is also dubbed as the "Japanese version of Harry Potter." The second season of the series is scheduled to premiere on January 6, 2024.

4. The Demon Prince of Momochi House (Release on January 5, 2024)

On her 16th birthday, orphaned girl Momochi Himari unexpectedly inherits her family's legacy – a house rumored to be haunted. With nowhere else to go, Himari decides to move in and encounters three mysterious men. What Momochi Himari didn't anticipate is that the rumors about the house are entirely true. The house serves as the boundary between the spiritual and human worlds, regularly disturbed by spirits and curses. Himari was supposed to be the guardian of this boundary, following the family tradition, but another man has taken up the task in her stead. His name is Aoi, the Demon Prince Guardian of the Momochi family, and he is now her protector. This is the origin of the title - The Demon Prince of Momochi House. The original work, The Demon Prince of Momochi House, is written and illustrated by Aya Shouoto, with a style often likened to the classic work Natsume's Book of Friends. The anime adaptation has been licensed by the studio Drive, and it is scheduled to premiere on January 5, 2024.
